Welcome to My Tandem App. By creating an account, accessing, or using this application (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

My Tandem App is a personal informational dashboard for Tandem t:slim X2 insulin pump users. It connects to your Tandem Source account (and related third-party data sources) to display glucose readings, insulin cartridge levels, pump battery status, and related information, and may send optional low-insulin alerts. The Service is provided solely for personal convenience and monitoring purposes.

Not a Medical Device; No Medical Advice

My Tandem App is an informational tool only and is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease or condition. It is not a substitute for your insulin pump, continuous glucose monitor (CGM), built-in device alarms, or the advice of a qualified healthcare professional.

Always rely exclusively on your pump, CGM, and healthcare providers for clinical decisions, dosing, treatment, or emergency response. Alerts generated by the Service may be delayed, fail to deliver, be inaccurate, or not occur at all due to network issues, third-party API availability, carrier delays, configuration errors, or other factors outside our control. Do not rely on the Service for any time-sensitive or safety-critical purpose.

SMS Program — Low Insulin Alert Service

Program name: MyTandemApp Low Insulin Alerts
Description: Optional SMS messages when your configured insulin cartridge level drops below your chosen threshold.
Message frequency: Varies with pump usage; typically limited and subject to a cooldown period between alerts.
Message and data rates may apply.
Opt-in: You must affirmatively enable SMS alerts, provide a valid mobile number, and consent during onboarding or in Account Settings. See our SMS Terms & Opt-In Policy.
Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message or disable SMS alerts in Account Settings at any time.
Help: Reply HELP or use our contact form.

We do not guarantee delivery, timeliness, or accuracy of any SMS alert.

Account Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials and any connected third-party accounts (including Tandem Source).
You must provide accurate information, including a valid mobile number if you opt in to SMS alerts.
You are responsible for keeping connected credentials current so that data syncing continues to function.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Sharing Your Data

You may invite other users (“followers”) to view selected pump/CGM-related data and optionally receive low-insulin alerts. You alone control who you invite and may revoke access at any time in Account Settings. You are solely responsible for the individuals you invite and for any consequences of sharing your health-related data with them. We have no obligation to monitor or control how followers use information they receive.

Third-Party Data Sources

Data displayed by the Service is obtained from third-party sources (including but not limited to Tandem Source, Dexcom, and related APIs or systems). We do not control these sources. Data may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, corrupted, or entirely unavailable at any time for reasons outside our control.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, OR RELIABILITY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT ANY DATA OR ALERTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR DELIVERED.

Assumption of Risk; Accuracy of Information; Release of Liability

You expressly acknowledge and agree that you use the Service and any information it provides entirely at your own risk. Data displayed or transmitted by My Tandem App — including glucose readings, insulin (cartridge) levels, pump battery status, alert timing, notifications, and any other figures or content — may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, outdated, or missing.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue My Tandem App, its operators, owners, developers, contributors, affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, costs, or expenses of any kind (including personal injury, illness, death, emotional distress, or property damage) arising out of or related to:

your use of or reliance on the Service or any information it provides;
inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, missing, or corrupted data;
failure, delay, or non-delivery of any alert or notification;
actions or inactions of any follower you invite;
any third-party service, API, network, or carrier issue; or
any other aspect of your access to or use of the Service.

This release applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages and to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, My Tandem App AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, OR FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY, ILLNESS, OR HEALTH OUTCOMES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, OR YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless My Tandem App, its operators, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your sharing of data with followers, or your reliance on any information provided by the Service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.
